Property Description

Seven Pines Lodge is a truly exceptional opportunity to re-position and re-envision a timeless Northwoods estate, gracefully set across approximately 30 acres of towering pine forest in Frederic, Wisconsin. Originally conceived in 1903 as a private Adirondack-style retreat, the property evokes a timeless sense of place, where heritage architecture and pristine natural surroundings converge. A hand-hewn log main lodge, crafted from timber harvested on-site, serves as the centerpiece, complemented by a collection of buildings, including a carriage house, gate house, and fourplex bungalow, thoughtfully positioned throughout the grounds. A Class I spring-fed trout stream winds through the landscape, enhancing the property’s rare sense of seclusion and serenity within a cohesive, campus-style setting. Seven Pines Lodge has a storied history, having hosted Calvin Coolidge during his presidency in the 1920s, and is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. This legacy, paired with its physical scale and setting, offers a compelling blend of historic significance and enduring versatility. While not currently in operation, the estate is ideally suited for a refined family compound, an exclusive corporate retreat, or a thoughtfully reimagined boutique lodge or experiential hospitality destination. Located within one hour of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area, Seven Pines provides effortless access to a truly authentic and tranquil Northwoods escape. Opportunities of this caliber, where legacy, scale, and potential intersect, are exceedingly rare. Seven Pines Lodge invites its next steward to shape the next chapter of an irreplaceable estate.
